You might think that working with your husband might not be the best idea for a marriage, but it turns out that working at Surrey Place Dental has been a great experience for us and our family! When starting out, I worked in different offices; first in North Vancouver for a bit and then filled in for an office for a few months in Victoria. While these positions were positive and good experiences for a newer graduate, they didn’t really work well for our new and growing family. I started working opposite shifts to my husband (Dr. Thakore), so that there was always someone available for our children.
Working in the Central City mall has been a lot of fun because of all the people that find their way here from all the different areas of Surrey. Different viewpoints and backgrounds have really enriched my understanding of people and I feel has made me a better dentist. It also has been a great way to indulge my other passion for shopping whenever I have some time!
Through the years the Surrey area has gone through some significant changes. I have always been impressed with our clientele and their loyalty to our practice. Their families have grown up like ours have, and their hard-working, positive attitudes continue to inspire me. I am grateful for the great clients in our practice and anticipate working with them to meet their dental needs for many years to come.
